Collagen is the main structural protein of the various connective tissues in the human body. The most common cell responsible for creating collagen is the fibroblast. As the main component of connective tissue, fibroblast is the most abundant protein in humans and animals, making up 25% to 35% of the whole-body protein content.

Collagen Calcium by AndorraLife is a uniquely patented calcium collagen chelate formula. The results from using Collage Calcium were significantly better than calcium, or a simple mixture of calcium and collagen. Collagen Calcium supports:

  • Bone strength and flexibility
  • Increased bone density
  • Anti-aging

We wouldn't survive without collagen.

In the form of elongated fibrils, collagen exists throughout the entire body - mostly in fibrous tissues such as tendons, ligaments, and skin. It is also abundant in the cornea, cartilage, bones, blood vessels, gut, intervertebral sics, and the dentin in teeth. Collagen makes up 1-2% of muscle tissue, and accounts for 6% of the weight of strong, tendinous muscles.

Calcium = Healthy Development

It is important for people of all ages to get enough calcium in order to encourage healthy development, maintain a healthy body, and ensure teeth and bones are strong. Though the diet should contain different foods that contain calcium, products such as AndorraLife's Collagen Calcium supplement missing dietary requirements.

Women, in particular need more calcium - especially women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, in menopause, or in peri-menopause when bone density can sharply decrease. Anyone who is deficient in calcium has a higher risk for bone fractures or osteoporosis.

The Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology examined the effect of Collagen Calcium on bone mineral density and bone strength by using the osteoporosis rat model. The study has shown that Andorras Collagen Calcium has major positive effects on Bone Mineral Density and Bone Strength.

Major Effects of Collagen Calcium on Bone Mineral Density (BMD)

AndorraLife's proprietary Collagen Calcium Blend (Collagen Calcium) dosage group increased BMD (Bone Mineral Density) by 3.5% compared to the Control Ca group that was fed the same amount of calcium. The Collagen Calcium 10x dosage group increased BMD by 11.1% as compared to the Control Ca group. The HC Group (hydrolyzed collagen mixed with calcium that has not been reacted and is in the form of CaCO3) did not increase BMD significantly as compared to the Control Ca group.

Major Effects of Collagen Calcium on Bone Strength

The Collagen Calcium group increased the strength of the femur bone by 9.9% compared to the Control Ca group that was fed the same amount of calcium (Control Ca). The Collagen Calcium 10X group increased bone strength by 25% as compared to the Control Ca group. The HC group, which contains the same amount of calcium and collagen as the Collagen Calcium group, showed no increase in femur bone strength compared to the Control Ca group.

The study showed that Collagen Calcium dose dependently increased femur bone strength and bone mineral density. It can provide an additive effect on femur bone strength and bone mineral density from its unique calcium and hydrolyzed collagen composition. This unique property of Collagen Calcium is not observed with calcium alone (the Control Ca group) or a simple calcium and collagen mixture (the HC group).

Supplement Facts

Active Ingredients and Their Benefits:

Vitamin D3
Vitamin D3 helps facilitate absorption of calcium into the bloodstream and regulate calcium that enters and leaves bone tissue. Vitamin D3 helps regulate healthy cell division differentiation, and functions as a vital co-factor in bone mineralization through the absorption of calcium and phosphorus.

Zinc
Zinc is used for treatment and prevention of zinc deficiency. Zinc deficiencies include stunted body/bone growth for children, weak bones (osteoporosis), bone fractures, bone loss, rheumatoid arthritis, and muscle cramps for seniors.

Rose Hips Powder
According to Cabrillo College, the Ohlone Native Americans used rose hips in compresses to treat skin wounds and scabs. A study performed by the Institute for Social Medicine in Berlin concluded that the use of rose hip powder can reduce symptoms related to rheumatoid arthritis. The results were published in the International Journal of Phytotherapy and Phytopharmacology on February 1, 2010.
